Troubleshooting

The handful of things that actually go wrong.

Search returns nothing

Usually the index is empty or still building. Check the record count in your dashboard; if it's zero, run a reindex.

If you've just changed which post types are indexed, a reindex is required — that change doesn't apply retroactively.

Some content is missing from search

Content that isn't public is excluded by design: drafts, private, password-protected, and anything marked noindex by your SEO plugin.

Content with no body text is only indexed if it has a title — a resource that's just a PDF link is findable by name.

If you've reached your plan's record limit, further new content isn't indexed. A reindex tells you exactly how many items were affected, and your dashboard shows your current usage.

Search suddenly got worse

If your subscription lapsed, search falls back to standard WordPress search and a notice appears in your WordPress admin. Your indexed content is kept — reactivating restores it immediately.

Still stuck
